Good morning Grey Knights!

I woke up this morning and raced to my computer for one reason and one reason only:  Grey Knights are available for pre-order.  Without further mumbo-jumbo, here they are:

For more pictures and picture of sprues, the GW Advanced Order page has it up:

My comments:
The Stormbolter clips are ridiculous.
The no-helmet faces could of been better.
The Teletubby backpacks are ridiculous.
The PAGK pack is still a disappointment.
Draigo looks exactly what I envisioned a lesser man to look like after being stuck in the Warp.

Otherwise, it looks pretty good.

Teletubbies are fine. At least they aren't Bananas in Pajamas :)

On a more serious note, I think those weapons will look really nice with my robed marines instead of the default GK armor.

Overall those sprues look full of awesome, and I REALLY like the Dreadknight. Now to figure out how to engineer it a bit to transform into something. That'd be a fun project :)

Yeah, they posted the pre-order stuff late last night, I live in a part of the world where my time zone is just in a right place where most of the modern world is fast asleep, and I'm just getting ready to go to bed, so I checked one last time, and they put the pre-order stuff up and an article, so yeah, wen't to bed with a smile.

For the most part I'm SUPER excited for simple conversion possibilities with both Termy and Power Army sets. I wasn't too excited about the Dreadknight model, but after looking at it (as in not the fuzzy leaked picture) it wasn't as Optimus Primey as I thought it would be. In fact I kinda like it, what with the Termy armor pilot.

But I share similar sentiments with HERO, the models lack that pizazz I was hoping for. I was so blown away with the BA models that I thought the GK models would be even better. After a closer look I think the modelers had a hard time fitting in everything in such a small space. I think the only way to have done better would've been to completely redesign the GK look, and I don't know if that would've been received well.

Either way, YAY for new plastic models, YAY for new GK codex, I'm excited to see how they do.

Also, I think the heads for the GKPA guys look kinda funny. But after a close examination I think if you replaced their heads with helmetless ones from other sets, then with the models body to head ratio I think they would look fantastic.

Then again, a lot of people (me included) love the GK helmet look. It'll take some fiddling with but I think I can make it work.

ok, I've posted too much, I'm shutting up now.

The Duke Nukem head from the SM Devastator pack will be finding its place among my GK, that's for damn sure.
